Kakha Bekauri, Chairman of Georgian National Communications Commission said on Thursday in the Parliament while presenting a report for 2022, that the number of fixed internet subscribers stood at 1,080,000 in 2022, marking 7% growth year-on-year.
He also emphasized that compared to 2021, the number of users increased by 70.6 thousand, which means a 7% increase.
"Fixed internet was now available in 2,510 out of 3,385 villages across the country", said the chairman of the Communications Commission and added that after the completion of the state Internet project, the Internet will be fully available in the mentioned villages.
