Zaza Ivanidze, founder of the agro-tourism facility “Meskhetian Bakery Ambari”, notes in a conversation with BM.GE that the 2025 tourist season has started differently.

According to the founder of the tourist facility, the number of international visitors has decreased, although the share of local guests has increased, which partially balances the load of the facility.

“The year has started very well in terms of both local and international visitors. However, it is noteworthy that the flow of international tourists has decreased, which, in our opinion, is also partly due to the current events in the country.

International visitors are visiting us this year, especially from France, Germany, the USA, Canada and Russia. In general, international visitors are more interested in master classes and agro-tourism events, while visits by locals are usually shorter,” Ivanidze notes.

According to him, "Bakery Ambari" can host 100 guests at a time. The cost of the service varies from 50 to 80 GEL, depending on the type of package.

"Bakery Ambari" is located in Meskheti, just 2 kilometers from Akhaltsikhe, on the safari road. The facility allows visitors to get acquainted with Meskhetian traditions, cuisine and culture. According to the founder of the facility, master classes are particularly popular at the facility, in which foreign guests actively participate. In addition, the space gives participants the opportunity to take part in the care of local vegetables, gardenia and wheats.
