The number of live births in Georgia equaled 18 633 in January-June 2024. The number of deaths equaled 22 265 persons in the same period, - according to the preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
In the first half of 2024, the natural increase (the difference between the number of live births and the number of deaths) totaled -3 632. The positive natural increase was registered in Tbilisi (478) and Adjara A.R. (621).
