Tourism inflows went up by 9.3% YoY in USD terms as of September 2018. The number of tourists* increased by almost same – 9.1% YoY in September 2018 and by 17.7% YoY in the first nine months of the year. The growth of international visitors from the EU (+34.8% YoY) and the CIS continued to grow (+13.8% YoY), while number of visitors decreased from other countries (-12.9% YoY). Slowing growth rate of tourism inflows is mostly to be attributed to declined number of visitors from Turkey and Iran. Visitors from these countries declined by 9.1% and 41.6% YoY respectively.
