In the first nine months of 2025, a total of 357,145 transit trailers passed through Georgia’s transport corridor, a 6% decrease compared to the same period last year.
This means that while in 2024 an average of 1,391 transit trailers crossed Georgia daily, in 2025 the average dropped to 1,308 trailers per day.
The decline also impacted state budget revenues, as each transit truck pays a road tax of 350 GEL for crossing the country. In total, this generated 125 million GEL for the budget during the reporting period, 8 million GEL less than in the same period of the previous year.
