A new food facility "Odabade" was launched in Aleksandre Kazbegi Avenue in Tbilisi, which combines a traditional Megrealian restaurant and food facility.
Its founder Davit Berelidze spoke to BM.GE about the concept and goals of the restaurant. According to him, "Odabade" employs about 20 people. The chef and his team were specially brought from Zugdidi, so that the dishes are prepared with great love and precision.
As for the price policy, the founder declares, that they try to maintain affordable prices for dishes at the expense of their own profit margin despite the sharp increase in product prices in the country. It is generally intended for the middle segment. The restaurant area combines a large hall and outdoor spaces, which can accommodate up to 100 guests. It was created entirely with the founder's investment, although Davit Berelidze refrains from specifying its volume.
"Our facility is divided into two parts - one is a restaurant, where classic Megrelian dishes are prepared, and the other part is a gastro space, which is the first fast food facility of Megrealian foods.
The main goal of this facility is to provide people with their favorite flavors in a different form besides traditional dishes, especially for those who have lunch after work and don't have much time. The interior of "Odabade" is also in line with the concept - here the environment is typical to the Megrelian Oda Houses, which are combined with modern elements. The design was created entirely with the ideas of our founders", - explains Davit Berelidze.
