On Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili's initiative, assistance for socially vulnerable children doubled from July 1 to make up 100 GEL instead of 50 GEL allocated previously, by authority of a decree signed by the Prime Minister.
In addition, the number of assistance beneficiary children is also changing. Instead of currently required 100,000 points, children in families with fewer than 120,000 points will receive 100 GEL in assistance. This decision will apply to more than 215,000 children.
145 million GEL will be allocated annually to finance the program initiated by the Prime Minister.
