"Soma Kids", the first Georgian brand producing eco-friendly clothes for babies, is preparing for exports. Accoridng to Sophio Tuaev, the founder of the company, exports are important for the brand, because ecologically clean products are expensive for the Georgian market.
As she notes, only 20% of customers consume Soma Kids' products on the Georgian market due to the low purchasing power.
"From the very beginning, we thought that since there are fewer buyers with the ability to buy, we should focus on exports and we are working to go to the foreign market very soon," Sophio Tuaev noted.
"Soma Kids" appeared on the market a few months ago. As the founder told BM.GE, 8 years of experience in the field of textiles helped to produce environmentally friendly clothes for babies embroidered with Georgian traditional ornaments. According to her, in the future, "Soma Kids" will take care of the processing of production waste and will sew sleeping bags for pets.
