Orthodox Churches will have to comply with regulations such as usage of disposable cups, distance, disinfection and wearing the facemasks. The order comes from Georgian Patriarch Ilia II as coronavirus spikes in the country at a record level.
Patriarch’s order specified that all Georgian orthodox churches and monasteries must obey the Covid-19 regulations for three weeks starting today - August 14.
Georgia reported 5,579 new cases of coronavirus and 50 deaths in the past 24 hours.
A total of 767 882 people have been vaccinated so far out of which 229 236 people are fully vaccinated.
The choice of vaccines include: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, and Sinovac.
