"Our goal should be to vaccinate 2 million citizens by the end of September," Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said at the beginning of today's government session. He thanked the doctors and noted that the best solution in the current situation is vaccination.
"We should not leave any citizen without care. I must repeat that the main solution for us in this situation is vaccination. We should call on everyone to get vaccinated. We will vaccinate a million people very soon, probably in a few days. Our goal should be to vaccinate 2 million citizens by the end of September, some of them vaccinated once, some twice. By then, probably a million people will have already been infected with the virus and eventually, the situation will relatively stabilize. In other words, we have a few weeks left to go through a difficult period together and from October, according to all forecasts, the situation will stabilize." said the Prime Minister.
