“During the 26-year relations of Georgia and USA, USA has been loyal to Georgia, we have always been there for Georgia and this will never change,” – stated Elisabeth Rood, the acting US Ambassador in Georgia in Sakmiani Dila TV show.
“The Prime Mnister of Georgia visited Washington DC two weeks ago. His visit was very successful. He had meetings with Mike Pence, the Vice-President, and representatives of both Chambers. He opened our bilateral strategic partnership meeting. Everywhere in Washington, our message for Georgia was the same – ‘America supports Georgia’, Georgia is the most important and trustworthy partner in the region and we appreciate this.” According to Rood, America appreciates Georgia’s loyalty and its striving to creation of democratic society and becoming part of Europe.
“Georgia is in the hearts of American people. I believe that is due to the fact that we have common values in terms of democracy. Georgia serves with USA and NATO with dignity in Kosovo, Iraq, Afganistan; we appreciate this sacrifice. In the course of our diplomatic relations, we have invested over 4,5 bln USD in Georgia”, stated Elisabeth Rood.
