As of March 31, 2026, 30,138 people received pensions from Georgia’s accumulated pension system, totaling GEL 145.5 million, according to the Georgian Pension Fund.
The fund’s total assets have surpassed GEL 8.8 billion, generating GEL 2.4 billion in returns. Currently, 1.727 million people are enrolled in the pension scheme.
Under Georgia’s Accumulative Pension Law, pension savings can be accessed when a participant:
- Reaches retirement age,
- Becomes partially or fully incapacitated,
- Passes assets to heirs, or
- Permanently leaves Georgia.
