Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili headed a Cabinet meeting, discussing 16 issues focusing on energy projects.
The Ministry of Economy presented three wind and five hydropower projects planned for implementation in various regions of Georgia, including Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kakheti, Shida Kartli, and Imereti. The total installed capacity of these energy projects is reported to exceed 250 MW, with a total investment exceeding 400 million US dollars.
The government plans to sign agreements with investor companies for these power plants, enabling the commencement of technical and economic feasibility studies and subsequent construction work.
