Wine producer Papris Valley says that despite a decline in Georgia’s overall wine export figures, the company has recorded significant growth in its own exports. According to founder Shalva Kurdadze, the company exported 15,000 bottles of wine in the first half of 2026 alone, already exceeding its total sales volume for the entire previous year.
Kurdadze said Paris Valley does not operate in the Chinese and Russian markets and instead focuses on high-income European and Asian markets. This year, the company entered new export destinations, including Mexico, Paraguay and Argentina, while continuing to expand sales in Japan and France.
“We expect to achieve a record export figure in our company’s history by the end of the year. Our wines are positioned in the premium and super-premium segments, and each bottle sold in Western markets represents a significantly higher value compared with lower-priced mass-market exports,” Kurdadze said.
Georgia earned $117.1 million from wine exports in the first half of 2026, down 3.7% year-on-year. Russia remains the largest export market, although sales there declined by 3.9% compared with the same period last year.
