In the first quarter of 2026, revenues from fines for parking violations in Tbilisi increased significantly, rising 2.8 times year-on-year, according to a report published by the State Treasury under the Ministry of Finance.
The data shows that total payments from parking fines reached 5,440,758 GEL, which was about 3.5 million GEL more compared to the same period last year. This sharp increase indicates a substantial rise in either enforcement intensity, violations, or both.
According to the latest statistics, Tbilisi currently has 28,516 parking spaces, nearly half of which are designated as zonal parking areas, while the other half are non-zonal.
