Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan delivered a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he presented the country’s foreign policy strategy based on the principle of multivector engagement.
Speaking at a panel discussion on January 23, Pashinyan stated that Armenia seeks to establish balanced relations with all regional players. Particular emphasis is placed on strengthening ties with the European Union, Russia, and Iran, as well as normalizing relations with Turkey and achieving peace with Azerbaijan.
The Prime Minister underscored the importance of transparency in international relations, noting that Armenia openly informs all its partners about its actions and intentions. “It may seem unusual, but we are remarkably transparent in our intentions with all international partners,” Pashinyan remarked.
According to the head of government, in a modern world full of challenges and threats, periods of significant change also bring new opportunities. Armenia’s task is to manage risks and leverage emerging opportunities while maintaining balance in its international relationships.
Pashinyan stressed that losing this balance could have serious consequences, not only for individual countries but also for regional and global stability as a whole. In conclusion, he highlighted the interconnectedness of today’s world, where even minor instability can trigger a chain reaction on a global scale.
