There have been a lot of unpleasant facts for us in this one year, there have been many injustices, attempts to open a front in Georgia, the so-called second front, but as a result of our Government's reasonable and national policy, we prevented this war, the second front and these provocations,- Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told Georgian journalists in Turkey.
According to him, from the very first days of the war, "the radical opposition has begun anti -state, anti -national action, but the majority of the Georgian population has supported and still supports the Government's course that implies long-term stability and peace."
“It has been an absolutely destructive action of the radical extremist opposition. We have seen their actions from the first days of the start of the war, their anti-state, anti-national, anti-Georgian action. Their task and their actions have not been, unfortunately, in the national interests of our country and our people. But we see that the Georgian people are wise, the overwhelming majority of our population supports the course chosen by the Georgian Government, which implies the establishment of long -term peace and stability in the country. There will be nothing without peace. Our main concern was, is and will be the maintenance of peace, which is a prerequisite for stability and development. All wise rulers will do their best to avoid any difficulty, ordeal that may cause problems for people. One of the main ordeals is a war that brings destruction and trouble”, said the PM.
