The Personal Data Protection Service advises Georgian citizens to exercise caution when encountering links from unfamiliar senders and refrain from sharing personal information.
The Service explained that the applications they receive contain signs of crimes per the Criminal Code of Georgia so the Prosecutor’s Office will proceed with reaction.
“We want to notify society about SMS from unfamiliar senders, through which the senders inform them about SMS store and change of address. The link is indicated at the end upon opening of which, the addresses are requested to provide their personal information, including ID numbers and bank accounts.
