Georgian brand Piece of BBN, which produces women's linen, is in the process of rebranding and plans to return to Georgia. Ana Latsabidze, the founder of the company, told BM.GE about this.
The fact is that the company recently changed its business model and moved production to Turkey, from where it exports its products to America.
According to her, production in Georgia was expensive, that's why the company decided to change the location.
"Production in Georgia was expensive, so we changed the business model and moved the production to Turkey. Accordingly, it is exported to New York from there. We cooperate with a company that produces sustainable natural fabric. Unfortunately, it is impossible to buy raw materials in Georgia because there are no standards. No one can confirm that it is 100% cotton.
However, the change in location took us away from the market. Our focus was completely on America. Since we have already organized it systematically there, now we want to develop it in Georgia as well. So, after a break, we are planning to open a store in Tbilisi, probably in Vake-Vera or Saburtalo districts. The cost of the products will remain the same, however, the quality will be much improved," said Latsabidze.
It should be noted that the company is represented on Etsy and Ebay in America.
About 10 people are involved in the production of Piece of BBN. The products are made from natural raw materials, as for the prices, they are designed for different categories of consumers.
