Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday discussed cooperation with Armenia, as defined by the joint declaration on the establishment of strategic partnership between the two countries, with the visiting Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

The meeting reviewed further deepening of trade and economic ties between the two countries, and future prospects in tourism, culture and education, the Government Administration said.

The officials also discussed the current situation and security challenges in the South Caucasus region, emphasising the importance of peace and stability.

The head of the Georgian Government confirmed the readiness of Georgia to contribute to the conduct of a “constructive dialogue” in the South Caucasus region in order to “promote a safe and stable environment”.
