The Prime Minister hosted the outgoing meeting of the diplomatic corps along with the members of the government.
According to PM's press office, the current situation in Georgia and the world in terms of the pandemic was discussed at the meeting, including issues related to the recovery of the pandemic-affected economy, as well as tourism, renewal of international traffic, and the experience of both Georgia and the world. Members of the government briefed the diplomats on preparations for the tourist season. In addition, the process of vaccination and the global situation in terms of vaccine supply was discussed. Once again, the prime minister of Georgia thanked the diplomatic corps for its support for Georgia during the pandemic.
"During the meeting with the ambassadors, the implemented and planned high-level visits were reviewed, and the high level of support of Georgia from partner and friendly countries was reiterated. The active involvement of the diplomatic corps in Georgian public life and democratic development was emphasized. During the outreach meeting, a study tour on Georgian wine and cuisine was held for the representatives of the diplomatic corps, some of whom have just started their service missions in Georgia," the statement reads.
