PM Met With UAE Deputy Minister Of Cabinet Affairs

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Abdulla Nasser Lootah, UAE Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange.

On behalf of the Prime Minister of the UAE, Abdulla Nasser Lootah delivered an invitation for the Prime Minister of Georgia to participate in the World Governments Summit scheduled to be held in Dubai on February 12-14. The Head of Government emphasized that Georgia is committed to using this platform in order to strengthen its cooperation with partners.

The conversation at the meeting focused on the relations and cooperation between Georgia and the UAE.

The dynamic of exchange of high-level visits over recent years was commended. It was noted that Georgia is keen on deepening partnership and friendly relations with the Gulf states.

The conversation touched on cooperation in the area of governance. Georgia's favorable investment environment and potential were also discussed. The Prime Minister spoke about Georgia's important role in the directions of connectivity and transit between Europe and Asia, also with the countries of the Near East.

The importance of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Georgia and the UAE was discussed. According to Irakli Garibashvili, this agreement lays the solid foundation for the development of more robust and consolidated trade and economic relations between Georgia and the UAE.

The meeting at the Administration of the Government was attended by UAE Government Experience Exchange Program Team Leader/Representative of the Prime Minister's Office Manal Bin Salem and Head of the Administration of the Georgian Government Revaz Javelidze.
