All online retailers will be allowed to continue operating as long as they observe the employee and customer health safety rules established by the Health Ministry and the National Center for Disease Control. This issue was discussed during today's meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council led by Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia at the Government Administration.
Designated Ministries, in coordination with the command center, will in the nearest future produce information on companies meeting said rules and putting in place safe environment for both their staff and customers, followed by a decision to grant extended operating permits.
The Head of Government and the Cabinet discussed the enforcement of tightened rules applicable under the state of emergency and the recently declared curfew, also the situation at special checkpoints set up jointly by the Interior and Defense Ministries on the borders of larger municipalities. These special checkpoints are designed to inspect citizens, including with thermal screening, with representatives of relevant agencies mobilized on the ground to that end. The Interior Minister reported on the enforcement of the restrictions under the curfew and legal response to identified violations.
