PM, TAV Georgia Reviewed Infrastructure Projects At Tbilisi And Batumi International Airports

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met a delegation of TAV Airports Holding operating under the ADP Group on Thuersday.

Meeting was focused on the implemented and intended infrastructure projects at Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, which are aimed at the increased volume of passenger throughput.

Discussion was related to the preparation for the summer season and it was also noted that entry of new air carriers is also planned to the Georgian market in the nearest future.

Rising indicators of tourism were highlighted at the meeting, along with the expectations for the current year towards this end. It was noted that it is important to have the airport infrastructure at both locations ready to service the increased passenger volumes in the most comfortable manner.

Senior management of the company shared information with the Prime Minister of Georgia on the recently implemented projects and noted that extension of the arrivals terminal is planned in the nearest future, which will lead to the reduced queues at customs check-points for passport control.

Changes in the management of TAV Airports Holding were referred to during the meeting today. It was noted that a French ADP Group is the largest shareholder of the holding and it is represented in 108 airports of 29 countries of the world together with TAV Airports.
