Sagarejo-based winery Pongino Wine is expanding its operations with the launch of a boutique hotel, expected to open in September, founder Gulnara Romanadze told BM.GE.
The family-run hotel will feature four themed cottages, including the “Saperavi Room” and “Muscat Room,” each designed for two guests. Romanadze said the project aims to preserve the winery’s authentic character and focus on personalized experiences rather than mass tourism.
The project is being implemented with support from the Enterprise Georgia program for women entrepreneurs. The investment is estimated at around GEL 400,000, financed through preferential funding. Accommodation rates are expected to range between GEL 180-200 per night, although final prices have not yet been set.
According to Romanadze, the hotel has already received bookings for September and October despite not yet being open. The project will initially create five new jobs, while the company is also considering additional tourism-related developments in the future.
