"Pongino Winery", located in Sagarejo, plans to begin construction of guest cottages in 2026. According to founder Gulnara Romanadze, the project will be financed through a preferential agricultural loan under the “Enterprise Georgia” program, for which the company is currently awaiting approval.
Romanadze says the decision to expand infrastructure was prompted by growing visitor demand, as small groups frequently request overnight accommodation during their visits.
Under the project, four themed cottages will be built on the winery’s grounds, including the “Muscat Room,” “Saperavi Room,” and others. Each cottage will host two guests, with prices starting from 180 GEL per night, including breakfast. The “Saperavi Room” will have the highest rate.
“The demand for overnight stays is very high. Many small groups ask to remain at the winery after their visit. If we had accommodation, guests would choose to stay with us,” Romanadze noted.
"Pongino Winery", based in the village of Khashmi in Sagarejo, has been operating since 2017 and produces premium wines from local varieties, including Khashmi Saperavi, Kisi, Muscat, and Rkatsiteli.
