APM Terminals Poti has released its operational results for the first eight months of 2026, reporting growth in container, general and ferry cargo volumes at the port.
During the period, the port handled 464,605 TEUs, up by7.5% year-on-year, with a peak monthly volume of 65,759 TEUs recorded in July. The port received 291 container vessels, compared with 239 in the same period of 2025, including 38 vessels in August.
General cargo volumes increased by 55% to 297,361 tons, while ferry cargo reached 143,454 tons, up from 113,060 tons a year earlier.
The summer season was particularly active. From June through August, container throughput rose to 187,524 TEUs from 176,272 TEUs in summer 2025, while general cargo more than doubled to 136,504 tons from 62,733 tons.
