According to APM Terminal Poti, the port processed 532,908 TEU containers from January to October 2025, marking a 17% increase compared to 454,139 TEU containers during the same period in 2024.
The number of container ship arrivals also rose, with 299 vessels docking at the port in the first 10 months of 2025, up 14% from 262 ships in the same period last year.
General cargo volumes grew as well, reaching 214,095 tons, an 11% increase over 192,865 tons in 2024. Ferry cargo also expanded to 136,805 tons from 124,018 tons in the previous year.
Vehicle processing saw mixed results. While 16,363 car containers were handled by October 2025 compared to 15,962 in 2024, the total number of vehicles processed slightly decreased to 63,863 units from 64,359 units last year.
