Armenia's power generating plants produced 871.7 million kWh of electricity in January 2023, which is 1.5% less than in the first month of 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee.
It said thermal power plants accounted for 431.2mln kWh of electricity (0.8% decrease), nuclear power plant – for 328.7mln kWh (1.8% increase) and hydroelectric power plants – for 88.6mln kWh (24.8% decrease).
Wind power plants produced 0.2 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period (65.8% decline), and solar power plants produced 23.0 million kWh (2.5 times growth), ARKA reports.
