Irakli Tavartkiladze, the founder of the travel company Adjara Tour, says that the prices of high-budget hotels are more liberal this year compared to 2019 due to the lack of demand and high competition.
"The economy sector also offers quite attractive and low prices. The price reduction does not apply to the transport and restaurant services, as those sectors are dependent on the imported goods. But, I think the prices are maintained as much as possible. If our guest plans to spend US dollars or Euros, the prices for them have not changed compared to the previous year, on the contrary, they are even cheaper due to the devaluation of GEL," - said Irakli Tavartkiladze.
According to him, for the citizens of Georgia in the restaurant sector, transport or various household items, prices have increased by 10-15% and in some places by 20%.
The head of the travel agency also suggests that if the restrictions and regulations are not lifted in time, tourists will make a choice in favor of those countries where there is more freedom.
"Apart from the economic part, health is also taken into account. If we want to ease the restrictions, vaccination is necessary to protect citizens from the virus, because the representatives of the tourism sector have daily contact with guests from abroad. More agitation is needed regarding vaccination. And, first of all, we must have enough doses, "- said the founder of Adjara Tour.
