On September 3, 2024, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting with Qu Dongyu, the Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
During the meeting, Prime Minister Pashinyan praised the successful cooperation between the Armenian Government and the FAO, particularly in the area of food security.
He emphasized the importance of continuing joint projects in agriculture and environmental protection, expressing confidence that Qu Dongyu's visit would further boost the development of their collaboration.
Qu Dongyu, in turn, highlighted the productive discussions held with Armenian government officials. He noted that they reviewed the progress of ongoing programs and explored possibilities for launching new initiatives.
The FAO Director General stressed that the primary goal of these new programs is to enhance food security and address challenges within the sector.
