Prime minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has signed a resignation decree of Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Kobulia.
Deputy Minister, Natia Turnava will be replacing Kobulia and lead the Ministry of Economy from now on.
According to the head of the Administration of the government of Georgia, the decision was made based on the consultations with different individuals, including Kobulia himself.
When speaking with journalists Kobulia stated earlier that he is not involved in the discussions over such changes in the government.
“Don’t ask me about that. Prime Minister is the one who makes such decisions and you can ask him”, stated Kobulia.
Giorgi Kobulia was appointed as the Minister of Economy on July 12, 2018. Before his appointment Kobulia was a senior partner at McKinsey office in Russia.
