Supported by the German Government and implemented by CENN with its partner organizations, the Beat Plastic Pollution competition unites 11 companies and organizations with the aim of reducing single-use plastics.

For many years, ProCredit Bank Georgia has been introducing green standards and promoting the development of green businesses. Therefore the bank became the main partner of the "Beat Plastic Pollution" competition.

“ProCredit Bank recognizes the significance of the "Beat Plastic Pollution" competition due to its environmental and social impacts. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the adverse effects of plastic waste and encourages to adopt sustainable practices. We believe that reducing plastic pollution is crucial for preserving the planet's biodiversity, safeguarding natural resources, and ensuring a healthier and more sustainable future for generations to come.

ProCredit Bank has launched a range of environmental activities to promote environmentally friendly and responsible practices, based on Bank’s Green strategy. Moreover, the bank is offering special financing opportunities to SMEs for eco-friendly projects, contributing to the growth of a greener economy and fostering improved environmental well-being. ProCredit Bank is actively contributing to a more sustainable future, encouraging the adoption of environmentally friendly practices and setting a positive example for others to follow.” – Alex Matua, General Director.

The competition is organised with financial support from the German government within the Reducing Single-use Plastic Consumption project, which is implemented by CENN with support from GIZ, Prevent Waste Alliance, RARE and in partnership with ProCredit Bank. The media partner of the project is BMG.
