The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development’s agency “Produce in Georgia” is introducing changes to its programs, which will expand support opportunities for entrepreneurs, according to the agency.

They report that in the universal industrial component, changes affect the co-financing of loan and leasing interest rates, which have been increased by 2 percentage points. These changes will take effect starting September 1.

In addition to co-financing, beneficiaries will also be able to make use of new grant components in the following areas: highland, agrotourism, green, digitalization, and research and development (R\&D). Moreover, for women entrepreneurs, the grant amounts in all of the listed components will be increased.

Changes have also been implemented in the state program supporting micro-entrepreneurship, which now includes new types of economic activity, such as food production, several categories of specialized construction works, and the cultivation of other annual crops.
