The startup, producer of roast chestnuts, plans to set up a refrigeration plant, through which the product will be offered to the customers throughout the year.
As Guka Gudadze, the founder of "Chestnut" told BM.GE, initially they are considering to rent a refrigeration farm in Guria, and after finding the necessary finances, they will have their own refrigerators.
According to him, the plans include selling the products at winter resorts, including Bakuriani and Gudauri. In addition, "Chestnut" packages will also be sold online.
"Our startup started operating in 2019. In the very first year, grilled chestnuts received a great response from consumers. We buy raw materials in Guria, but we only serve customers seasonally. That's why the plan includes setting up our own refrigeration facility to be constantly present on the market. Since this is related to big finances, I initially think to rent a refrigeration farm.
We plan to sell our products at the winter resorts, as well as to supply supermarkets chains this year”, - said the founder of the startup.
"Chestnut" appeared on the market in 2019. The start-up was founded with a capital of GEL 3,000. "Chestnut" owns one facility in Leselidze str and employs 3 people.
