The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office announced that it is investigating 47 criminal cases linked to incidents before and on the day of the recent parliamentary elections.

These cases involve alleged election falsification, voter bribery, interference with voting rights, obstruction of journalism, election commission disruptions, pre-election violence, and property damage.

The investigations were initiated based on appeals from opposition and ruling parties, the Central Election Commission, various organizations, and media reports.

“The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has announced the investigation of 47 criminal cases related to the recent presidential election, covering alleged crimes such as election falsification, voter influence, bribery, interference with journalism, violence, threats, and property damage at election sites. The investigation began following appeals from both opposition and ruling parties, the Central Election Commission, various organizations, and media reports.

The office confirmed that investigative actions are progressing, with video evidence being analyzed, suspects identified, and procedural steps actively underway. Two individuals have already been arrested for alleged election fraud in Marneuli’s 69th precinct.

The Prosecutor’s Office also noted that some individuals who claimed to have information related to election fraud have not yet cooperated with the investigation, which has hindered progress. The office has called on these individuals to provide relevant information to ensure a thorough and efficient investigation,” the Prosecutor’s Office stated.
