Public Statement of Roman Pipia:
"As it is publically known, up to 2016, I have been a beneficiary owner of “Rustavi Azot” - a Rustavi-located enterprise producing mineral manure. I have been deprived of my right to property on this enterprise unlawfully, as a result of illegal actions by various natural and legal persons. Due to this fact, in order to defend my interests and restore my property, to this day I am in ongoing legal disputes/proceedings under various jurisdictions, including in Georgia, as well. It became known to me that the current owner of Rustavi Azot – “E.U. Investment “LLC and the ones, who stands behind this, have the intention to alienate the assets of Rustavi Azot, in a direct or indirect manner. The aim of the present statement is to publicly call on the persons intending to alienate Rustavi Azot, as well as the persons having an interest to buy it, to avoid making any type of agreements/manipulations with the aim to alienate Rustavi Azot. Any party, that is interested in entering such agreements shall not be deemed as a faithful buyer of Rustavi Azot’s assets.
I make public the information in relation to the fact, that I have addressed the National Bank of Georgia with the aim that the latter, in the scope of its supervisory powers, shall objectively and impartially examine the role and the involvement of one of Georgia’s systemic banks and its higher-level management in the scheme designed for the misappropriation of Rustavi Azot. We have provided the National Bank with a number of significant evidence exposing the persons participating in this chain of illegal actions.
I hope that National Bank of Georgia shall act in accordance with its high status and shall react appropriately and efficiently in a short amount of time.
For additional information, all interested persons may address Law Firm _ BLB, which defends and represents my interests in Georgia".
