The constitutional court held the moratorium prohibiting foreign persons from purchasing agricultural land unconstitutional. The constitutional court plenum announced the decision today without the content review of the case, as the court has already ruled the same verdict on cases in both 2012 and 2014. The case was taken to the constitutional court by the Greek citizens Prokop Savvid and Diana Shamanidim, who could not register land they had inherited under their names due to the moratorium. As of now, the moratorium regarding the alienation of agricultural land by foreign persons is no longer in force.
