Dr. Davit Mrelashvili is a neurology physician in Columbia and has been in practice between 11-20 years. Mrelashvili publishes a post on his official Facebook page on reducing chaos in the healthcare system in Georgia.
“I do not agree with the fact that thousands of family and village doctors must be engaged forcibly in treating of covid-infected patients at home. It will add chaos to the system. I think there is a need of 50-100 highly qualified physicians or the so-called "legionnaire" doctors, who owns a computer and is experienced enough to manage these patients with a video-call (visit) at home.
"Legionnaire" doctors can treat over 5000-10,000 patients at home (who have mild or are asymptomatic). This will make management much easier and reduce chaos. Sounds unbelievable, but works well based on my own experience”, Davit Mrelashvili writes.
