“It is very important that the number of COVID tests is grown up to 12,000, despite the increased testing, the number of detected people did not increase and consequently, the positivity rate decreased to 25%, which is good, but it is difficult to determine it at this stage that and make epidemiological conclusions, - immunologist-allergist Bidzina Kulumbegov declared.
According to Kulumbegov, a period of 7-14-day is needed for observation and discussion. Despite the fact that wearing of face mask increased up to 65%, it is not enough.
"95% of population must wear face masks outdoor and indoor, which will allow sharp decrease of COVID cases, accordingly more freedom will be given to the economy. So, observation on those two weeks (December 24-January 2) will give us the opportunity to consider on the one hand – epidemiological condition, while on the other - the economy in order to lift the imposed restrictions”, Bidzina Kulumbegov declared.
