Ukraine has received $5.6 billion from international partners since the Russian invasion started.

The relevant statement was made by National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) First Deputy Governor Kateryna Rozhkova during the Spring Business Forum in Lviv, Ukrinform reports.

According to Rozhkova, as businesses suspended operations, the state budget revenues significantly declined. In March-April 2022, the state budget deficit came to UAH 171 billion. Funding from international partners is one of the ways of financing the deficit.

“In general, since the war started, we have received $5.6 billion, and all these funds were transferred to the budget,” Rozhkova noted.

In addition, the NBU has already bought $120 billion worth of war bonds. But, the NBU cannot be a regular source of financing the state budget deficit, Rozhkova stressed.
