Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze says that if the state needs the help of the private sector in importing vaccines, she will apply.

This is how the Minister answered the question of Beka Liluashvili, a member of the parliamentary team of Giorgi Gakharia, about the role of the private sector in the introduction of the vaccine and the support of the state in this regard.

According to Ekaterine Tikaradze, WHO calls on all countries to refrain from this approach, because at this time there is a risk of too many corruption schemes, which will endanger human health.

"There are a lot of counterfeit vaccines on the market, therefore, the activity of the private sector is not considered, because no manufacturer is talking to any private supplier. The state is very effective in fulfilling its obligations; This is an area and a high responsibility to the population that the state really has to carry out. If we consider that we will need the help of the private sector, we really have appropriate communication with them and in this case they will be involved," Tikaradze said.
