Nut storage enterprise "Kakhetis Tkhili" was opened in Zugdidi with the support of TBC Bank.
In the enterprise, it is possible to dry and store over 1000 tons of nuts per year, which are sold on export markets.
The enterprise employs 20 people and receives raw materials from locals. It can serve up to 1000 farmers.
In the direction of nut crops, the portfolio of TBC includes 294 customers in the last 3 years, the funding volume amounts to GEL 219 million, and the market share is 54%.
Georgian nuts have great potential for large-scale production and exports. In 2021, the earnings from the export of nuts exceeded USD 115 million. 24,000 tons of nuts were exported to 47 countries. The largest share of exports accounts for the EU countries.
