In June 2023, a partnership memorandum was signed between the development company "Metropol" and the French international hospitality company Louvre Hotels Group, which implies that "Metropol" will exclusively introduce the 5-star hotel brand Royal Tulip to Adjara region.
Within the framework of mutual cooperation, two large investment projects - Cube and Oval - are currently under construction in Batumi.
The business class concept CUBE project is an important investment for the region, the amount of which exceeds GEL 160 million. Metropol CUBE's infrastructure includes a conference hall, a library, a swimming pool, a terrace and a restaurant space. And for lovers of seaside vacations, the project focused on the style of active recreation - Metropol OVAL - includes a wine library, a cinema hall, a swimming pool and a large terrace. So, both investment projects combine a comfortable lifestyle.
By the end of 2027, the CUBE and OVAL projects will be fully operational, featuring the “Royal Tulip Cube” and “Royal Tulip Oval”, respectively.
"Construction of the Cube will continue over the next 4 years and the project will employ more than 1,000 people, and 150 permanent jobs will be created when the hotel opens in 2027. This project is an important investment not only for the region of Adjara, but also for the economic growth of the entire country", says Giorgi Mkheidze, the managing partner of "Metropol".
