Marriott's luxury hotel Paragraph Tbilisi is planned to open in the summer of 2023, - according to the Georgian Tourism Development Fund.
Georgian Tourism Development Fund explains the opening of the hotel has been delayed twice.
With the change of the opening dates of the luxury hotel, the investment value of the project has also changed. If the hotel project was planned to be completed with an investment of USD 101 million by 2020, today this amount totals to USD 120 million.
Accoridng to the Georgian Tourism Development Fund, the total investment volume of the project is USD 142 million.
"The project completion and opening dates changed due to the world pandemic. As you know, previous years were full of difficulties for the business, hotel occupancy rates were down in Tbilisi," explained the Tourism Development Fund.
Luxury Collection brand hotel "Paragraph Tbilisi Hotel" was scheduled to open on Freedom Square in the fall of 2021 within the frame of Panorama Tbilisi project. The project includes 3 facilities, hotels: on Sololaki Plateau, Freedom Squre and Erekle II Square, which should be connected by a ropeway.
