According to the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Georgia deserves the candidate status for EU membership. As Otar Shamugia mentioned to the journalists, the Georgian government is doing everything to get the status.
"Georgia is doing everything to get candidate status. 12 points are completed. In the direction of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, I can tell you that we are doing everything to show maximum progress within one year.
We have made a lot of progress within the framework of the obligations stipulated by the Association Agreement. Accordingly, we have expectations and I think that Georgia deserves the candidate status", said Otar Shamugia.
