Giorgi Saghinadze, founder of Catering company ETG told BM.GE, that he was forced to lay off a large number of employees due to the decrease in demand for catering services amid pandemic.
According to him, the company will be able to work with the available resources for only 5 months not to disappear from the market.
"We are partly stopped. We fired most of the employees. The company is left with 1-2 employees who take existing orders. Orders are small. Demand on the catering does not exist. Both trainings and seminars have been transferred to the remote mode and we do not have orders. Revenues have been reduced by 90% -95% compared to last year, in fact, we are working on self-preservation, " said Giorgi Saghinadze, the founder of ETG.
However, due to the risks of covid-19 spread, weddings, celebrations and other social events in the country are limited.
