Racha-based restaurant Iline has expanded and opened a new branch in the village of Tsesi on September 20. The restaurant’s founder, Nino Kereselidze, shared the news on BMGTV’s program “Women’s Narrative.”

Known for its authentic local cuisine, Iline first opened in Ambrolauri and quickly gained popularity among both locals and tourists. According to Kereselidze, the decision to expand was prompted by the restaurant’s steady growth and high demand. “For five years, I was unable to accommodate all the guests, the demand grew every year. The new facility is a much larger and visually interesting space, which is a logical stage of development for Iline,” she said.

The new branch features an expanded menu that includes traditional Racha dishes and a bread section, highlighting the region’s unique baking traditions. The expansion was made possible through the EU-funded grant program “New Life for All Georgia,” which supported the investment needed for the project.

Currently, seven women are employed at the new facility, which can host around 50 guests at a time. The restaurant has already welcomed a tourist group of 35 visitors. Kereselidze believes that if Racha continues developing as a winter destination, the region’s tourism potential and local business opportunities will grow even further.
