Commercial advertising revenue of the Georgian television and radio broadcasters equaled GEL 23.3 million ($9mln) in the second quarter of 2022, a 22.4% increase compared to the same period of last year, the Communications Commission announced.
In the case of radio broadcasters, advertising revenue received in the second quarter compared to the same period last year increased by 19% and amounted to GEL 1.9 million ($721, 127).
Advertising revenue was distributed among broadcasters as follows:
Radio holding Fortuna – GEL 1.1 million ($417 500)
Radio Imedi – GEL 151 000 ($57 000)
Radio Palitra – GEL 96 200 ($36 511)
Georgian Times radio – GEL 82 200 ($31 198)
Georgian radio – GEL 77 300 ($29 338).
Advertising revenue includes commercial advertising, sponsorships, product placement, teleshopping and commercial announcement.
