Rail Transit to Armenia via Azerbaijan and Georgia Expands with New Russian Grain Shipment.

Another transit cargo shipment has been dispatched to Armenia by rail via Azerbaijan and Georgia.

According to Azerbaijan Railways, a total of 15 train cars carrying 1,108 tons of wheat and 273 tons of barley arriving from Russia departed Bilajari station heading toward Boyuk Kesik.

Amid the activation of regional transport routes, transit shipments to Armenia through Azerbaijan have already reached the following volumes:

  • Grain: Over 47,000 tons
  • Fertilizer: 9,000 tons
  • Other Raw Materials: 1,136 tons of propane, 1,114 tons of coal, 133 tons of aluminum, and 67 tons of timber.

In parallel, direct exports from Azerbaijan to Armenia have already exceeded nearly 15,000 tons of diesel fuel and up to 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 grade gasoline.
